Transformative Couples Therapy™ (TCT)
TCT helps therapists evoke and amplify the power of the felt experience of love in the couples they treat.
This method mobilizes couple members to shift patterns of insecurity and develop a more durable secure base.
Forging a pathway from fear to love and from survival to thriving is an expression of the indwelling biological drive to love and be loved.” ( Mars 2011).
The method Dr. Mars developed started in 2008 as Transformative Couples Therapy™ (TCT). When he began his work of 11 years as AEDP Faculty he renamed the work AEDP for Couples. Now Dr. Mars has moved on from the AEDP Institute, the next level of the work returns to it's original name of Transformative Couples Therapy™ (TCT).

Seven Channels Process Group:
Deepening embodied relational experience
In Seven Channels Process Group we practice entering into whole-body somatic witness consciousness and speak in explicit I-statements about our internal experience. This produces an atmosphere of safety, authenticity and vulnerability. This then increases our subtle discernment and evokes surprises of emergent self-reflection and bottom-up expression in fresh ways.
Each session begins with a short meditation based on the Seven Channels of Experience. We will focus on a particular somatic theme and expand and deepen our selective perception, reception and expression. As we open our eyes from the meditation, we will notice what changes take place in our bodies as we see each other. From this safely grounded place, we begin sharing what we choose to express in order to be heard, received, felt and known by ourselves and each other.
The group is limited to six. We will meet monthly for an eight-session series from 8 AM PST to 10 AM PST on Thursdays: 10/8/20, 11/5/20, 12/3/20, 1/7/21, 1/28/21, 2/25/21 and 3/25/21.
" . . . the way that I work has been deeply transformed. My couples are experiencing healing in a more accelerated way along with a more grounded felt sense between them of feeling more deeply connected and in love with each other. Love indeed does feel good!"
