AEDP Core Training w/David Mars
AEDP Core Training - Vancouver 2015-6
Core Training is the third element the AEDP Institute has developed in its training programs. It provides a rich learning environment that maximizes safety while encouraging psychotherapists to stretch and grow by sharing videotapes of your clinical work in supervision.
Part of the certification track, Core Training is designed to help therapists learn the depth and intricate detail of the AEDP model, which at first may seem intuitively resonant and appear to be deceptively simple. Yet in practice, AEDP can be profound and complex. Specific challenge areas of applying AEDP clinically will be brought into focus for study and practice.
We will utilize the maps and schemas that underlie AEDP to help you understand choice points in the unfolding process of the transformational journey. And we highlight the specific characteristics of AEDP that shine through your work in particular. We want to help each therapist become proficient in the practice and delivery of AEDP, while also helping you to find your particular strengths and how you can evoke your own therapist-at-best. In this way, you are offered an experience of “receiving AEDP while learning AEDP.”
There are five two-day weekend trainings that begin with a two-hour teaching component, which is illustrated by clinical videotape of AEDP Faculty member. This is followed by individual supervision of each participant with the faculty in supportive collaboration with your peers. Core Training consists of 8-10 participants.
