AEDP CORE Training w/Karen Pando-Mars
SF Bay Area AEDP Core Training 2014-2015
In San Rafael, CA beginning October 17-18, 2014 through May 15-16, 2015
With Karen Pando-Mars, MFT
The Core Training Program provides an in-depth opportunity to learn the theory and practice of AEDP in the inspiring company of other motivated colleagues. As AEDP so powerfully demonstrates, meaningful and positive transformations occur in the context of safe, supportive and affirming relationships. Each weekend the faculty member will integrate videotape of their clinical work with a didactic presentation to illustrate key components of AEDP. The primary focus, however, is on supervision of each member’s videotaped sessions. Core Training also provides experiential and somatic elements that parallel the practices of AEDP. In a sense, you will learn AEDP by experiencing AEDP.
Core Training groups meet for 5 weekends over the course of an academic year and consist of 8-10 members. The concentrated and intensive time that members spend together immersed in learning AEDP fosters a culture of trust and generosity which allows the risk-taking of sharing one’s own videotaped work, many opportunities to learn from the work of others, and a supportive environment that is maximally oriented for strengthening each member’s development as an AEDP therapist.
